Up front, I’m not the therapist for everyone.
I’ll probably be wearing shorts and an old t-shirt, I encourage (and use) expressive profanity, and I have more tattoos than the average therapist. You won’t find a flowery sales pitch about self-fulfillment and safe spaces but you will find honesty and authenticity. What you see is what you get. I hold master’s degrees in both marriage and family therapy and forensic psychology. I’m licensed by the state of Georgia as a marriage and family therapist and as a professional counselor. If this is important to you, I’ve been certified in EMDR through EMDRIA, but ultimately decided against continuing the certification. I’m happy to answer why if the certification is something that’s important to you.
I was also certified as a “advanced alcohol and drug counselor (CAADC) through ADACBGA and as a “board certified telemental health provider (BC-TMH),” through CCE. I decided against continuing with these certifications also, and, if these certs are imporant to you, I’m happy to answer why I made that decision.
Gottman Method Couples Therapy - Levels 1 and 2. I love Gottman Therapy but I don’t do couples work. If you live in GA, these folks do a great job with Gottman Therapy and utilize telehealth. (Couples Counseling ATL)
